3D Iron Man for Maya by parka 3D Iron Man for Maya by parka
A lot of people have requested for this model on my blog. So I've decided to make the model available for download.

The model isn't completely finished and was created for a newspaper infographics. [link]

It's created in Maya 8.5.

Inside the folder is one version for Maya, and one as an obj format (as requested).

I didn't finish modeling the leg, hand and the back. And ironman is in half, you can amend to your delight, combine it and smooth it.

Please link back to this page or my blog if you decide to use the model. I would love to see your any work you've done on it.

Thank you.

Great model! How do I isolate one of the arms. Whenever I click on the arm, the entire body is selected.

Is there any way that you can make blueprints from this? I don't have the program required to open the files you've provided, but I'd love to try my hand at modeling this in a cad program and having it manufactured. For now I'm looking at the helmet. If you can make blueprints, I would need a side, front, top and bottom.

Thanks!

Yes, you can, just import .obj file, in "scenes" folder

I'm not sure. You should ask that question in the Blender community.

BLEH, it's been almost 20 days and it's still up there. It's sad that people out there do stuff like that.

This is great work, I'd like to finish the suit for use as an armor set for a video game mod (TES4 Oblivion/Fallout3).

Hey, the download isn't working for me, my browser shows "waiting for cache". I would very much like to get my hands on the model for the sake of making a papercraft version of his helmet. Ever since my friend saw the movie, he's wanted me to make him one :D

erf....scuse me man , your repertories inside the rar seems to be empty ... I don't have maya , but I don't see anything inside the rar, maybé a ironmanhead.mb , and a workspace.mel ...

Is there anything else ?

ironman_maya is the project folder. Set the project to that.

Inside the project folder is the scene folder, inside that is the iron man file a 14mb.

I tried downloading this at work and it was able to un-archive with the files intact.

I'll upload a .obj file format soon since not everyone is using maya.
